Description: In the midst of winter, an old monk gave three little monks each a very special Lotus seed, and asked them to plant the seeds. Two of the young monks immediately set out to labor over planting their seeds, they both wanted to grow the most beautiful lotus to impress the old monk. But somehow, their seeds did not grow. Anh, the 3rd little monk kept his seed in a safe place, and went about his normal daily business of sweeping the snow, making meals for the temple, and even going out on his evening walks. Then spring came, Anh finally planted his seed in the nearby pond. By summer, Anh's Lotus flourished beautifully in the pond for everyone to enjoy. This book has beautiful illustrations, and is excellent for teaching children the importance of patience.
